Road Marking & Safety Improvements in Cap Estate

Maintaining clear road markings is one of the ongoing ways the Cap Estate Association (CEA) works to improve road safety and the appearance of our community.

CEA periodically coordinates the repainting of speed bumps and other road markings throughout Cap Estate, helping to ensure they remain clearly visible to motorists, particularly at night and during poor weather.

This is not a one-off project. Road markings naturally deteriorate over time due to traffic and weather conditions, so inspection and repainting form part of CEA's wider programme of ongoing road and infrastructure maintenance.

Working together

CEA is grateful for the continued support of Sandals Golf Club, which assists with maintaining road markings and speed bumps on roads around the golf course, including Windward Road and Mahogany Drive.

Responsibility for Cap Estate's roads and road markings involves a number of different parties, so CEA continues to liaise with local organisations and the relevant government agencies to identify areas requiring attention and encourage timely maintenance.

Improving road safety across Cap Estate

Road markings are only one part of CEA's wider work to improve road safety and infrastructure throughout the community.

Alongside repainting, CEA's ongoing efforts include roadside de-bushing, clearing critical drains, identifying roads requiring resurfacing or repair, highlighting damaged culverts and engaging with the Ministry of Infrastructure and other stakeholders on improvements.

We would also encourage residents to report faded or damaged road markings, speed bumps or other road-safety concerns to CEA, so they can be recorded and raised with the appropriate organisation.
